The Core Ethical Values of Miss Zandrea Y. Banton
My Core Ethical Values

My core ethical values are Integrity, Honesty, Fairness, Transparency, Courage, Respect and Duty. It is my desire to embody these principles and cultivate them in my organization.

Integrity
Personal integrity and integrity in our interactions with internal and external stakeholders is the wind we need in the sails of the vessel of our organization, to carry us through turbulent waters of differences in personalities and adversities that might arise. I will, at all times, endeavour to be authentic, reliable and constructive as a person, and gentle, protective and firm as a leader.

Honesty
In our dealing with each member of our organization, we must have a mutual understanding that each member is conducting himself or herself with honesty. This will eliminate distrust and lead to efficiency and harmony. Let us operate honestly as we navigate relationships and create a healthy work environment.

Fairness
I believe that it is self-evident that injustice to one is injustice to all. Thus, I will exercise fairness through and through. If we operate in fairness, we quell the fire of resentment. We will be tributaries to the river of harmony and justice within our organization.
Transparency
“Justice should not only be done but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done,” (Lord Chief Justice Hewart, 1924). If this is not practiced, we run the risk of cultivating an environment that obstructs the transformational leadership I intend to uphold. It is my solemn belief that all stakeholders should see justice being truthfully and unequivocally being done within our organization.
Courage
"Men (or women) who are in earnest are not afraid of consequences "(Marcus Garvey). I believe that all stakeholders should feel free to speak openly and honestly about their views and beliefs. They should be empowered to be innovative and to gain exposure for growth. If their desires are earnest, they should be supported.
Duty
Angela Merkel of Germany, and Margaret Thatcher of Great Britain are my role models for dutifulness. Female leaders tend to be diligent, conscientious, and possessors of a strong sense of duty. A strong sense of duty enables us to be earnest, professional and tenacious in carrying out our roles and responsibilities.
Respect
The most important of all these values, for me, is respect. We must respect ourselves in how we present ourselves, our work and our ideas. Likewise, we must also show respect for others in our verbal and non-verbal communication. We should respect each other's time, each other's space and each other's work. In giving and receiving feedback and towards those above and below us within this organization's hierarchy, respect is always due.
